An important 1990 history of the Anglo-Australian Telescope, which provides facilities for research in optical astronomy for scientists from Britain and Australia.Following the last stage, the installation of the unbelievably complicated electrical wiring system, it was handed over by the contractors in March 1974. The optics were installed and the first photographic plate taken on 27 April 1974.
